I have a copy of The Princess Bride. Here are all the ways we can split up the reading:
By pages: there are 387 pages
By chapters: there are very unusual chapters in the Princess Bride. The first four chapters are 94 pages long while the fifth chapter is 121 pages. We could read groups of chapters or each chapter separately.

I think someone needs to make a decision, and get it over with.... i will warn you all, we need to read this book sllllooooowwwwwlllyyyy if we are going to start it before dec. 19th, because i have 2 projects before then..... so, all in favor of Princess Bride, say "aye"

OK guys. This is becoming just plain stressful. So I am making an official announcement:

Starting DECEMBER 5th we will read start reading a book.

Naomi and I are in favor of The Princess Bride, so if Ashlee and Anneloes will answer us we can rest peacefully knowing that we have a book chosen or you can refuse and suggest a different book, but if you do not answer me I will use my rights as the blog's benevolent dictator and Naomi and I will start reading it anyway, without you guys' permission.

We, the relative assembly, should henceforth arbitrate on a manuscript, lexicon, codex, or otherwise, simply put, ... a book, to indulge our collective ogles upon. Witherunto we may persist in adhibition of this so-called "Book Club". My lucubration would be that we all, again, connote a dissertation.

i got this book from the library that i haven't read yet. it's called "the candy shop war" by brandon mull... yup... actually, tori stole it and is reading it currently, but whateva... she's almost done... =) maybe we could read that since we can't decide on the other suggestions... :D

Now that I'm back, I think it's time to pick up the pace. We have to decide on a book to read!!!!!

I have heard of the Maximum Ride books from the whole "Camp Berea Crew" and I thought we could read the first of those. That's my suggestion.

OK. The color me books are a great idea, but most libraries and book stores don't carry them so it will take a while for everyone to get the book.

i agree with the "i would like to read some thing that i havent read recently" part, and the "color me..." sound very interesting from all that i have heard!!
if we make a list of books that we might be interested in, that might be easier. idk though. i've never been in a book club before!! this is soo exciting! ttyl~

it doesn't matter that much to me what to read. . . i like most books that are written in english. and by english, i mean english that doesn't require translation.
though i would prefer a book i haven't yet read! lately i've just been re-reading some of the fabulous books i love, like Jane Eyre (best book ever written, in my opinion) and some Joan Baeur books (my fave author of all time!) and some of the books in the 'color me. . .' series by melody carlson (the 2nd best series ever written, next to harry potter in my opinion). so yeah. . . since i only know emmaline in this club, i'd like to get to know the other two members. . . so what kind of books do you read?

OK! I think that four members is good for a start, so now we need to decide what book we are going to read. This may be difficult with only posting and comments, but once we get it down to 2 or three books, it will be easier. The books must be appropriate! (But I don't think that will be much of a problem.)
